South Knoll is a central-south College Station neighborhood, close enough to Texas A&M that graduate students and faculty make up a significant portion of residents. South Knoll Elementary is the neighborhood anchor, and Harvey Mitchell Parkway along the northern edge provides commercial access. Streets here have more established trees and older housing stock than the newer subdivisions to the south — a mix of longtime residents and university households that creates a slightly more eclectic block-by-block character.
